Description

A woody vine or shrub (Trachelospermum jasminoides Bush) with twining stems is prized for its very fragrant profuse clusters of small, star-shaped, white flowers. Provide afternoon shade in hot climates. A warm region evergreen, use as ground cover, shrub, trellis, or espalier. Plant near a patio or entry where the fragrance can be enjoyed.

Plant Care

This plant can handle most soil types but prefers neutral, well-draining soil. Water regularly during the first year to aid the plant in establishing a strong root system, frequency can be reduced once established. Can be planted up to five feet apart or closer for a faster, fuller effect.
