Can We Deliver to Your Address?
Truck delivery depends on two things: where you live and the size of your order. Both requirements must be met.
Why this matters for large plants: 15 and 25 gallon plants can only travel by truck. Your address must be in a delivery area, and the total order size must be over $299.

Ordering only a few smaller plants? They can still ship in protective boxes with no order minimum. For customers in a delivery area, shipping costs will not exceed that area's flat truck-delivery rate. Your final available options and cost appear at checkout.

When to expect your plants
We Prepare First, Then Send
Timing depends on your address, your order and where each plant is growing. We would rather prepare a living plant properly than rush it out the door.
Your order may begin at two nurseries
We grow plants at two California locations. If your order includes plants from both, we may bring them together before shipping or delivery. That can add a few days, but it allows your complete order to make the final journey together.
Your Questions, Answered
What's the difference between shipping and delivery?
Shipping means your plant goes in a box and a carrier brings it, anywhere in the country. Delivery means it's never boxed at all: it rides upright on our own truck, with our own crew, on a California route we run ourselves. The reason both exist is that a 25 gallon tree can't be boxed.
Do I have to spend a certain amount to order?
No. Shipped orders have no minimum, so ordering just one plant is completely fine. Plants Express truck delivery is the only option with a threshold: orders over $299 to an eligible California address.
I want a 15 gallon tree. Can I just order one?
A 15 gallon tree can only travel by truck. If one tree does not meet the delivery minimum, you can add other plants to create a qualifying order. Your address must also be in a Plants Express delivery area.
I'm in California but you don't deliver to me. Can I still order?
Yes, and it works exactly like it does for someone in Arizona or Nevada. Same 1 and 5 gallon plants, shipped in a box starting at $29.95. The only thing out of reach is 15 and 25 gallon material, because that can't be boxed.
Why is delivery more for Extended Delivery Areas?
Extended Delivery Areas sit beyond where our regular routes reach, so each carries its own flat rate: $99.95. Same service, same minimum order, and you'll see your rate at checkout.
How long will it take?
Shipped orders usually leave us within about a week, then carrier transit on top. Delivered orders are often around two weeks, because we run routes and some areas get served once a week. Your address, your order, and which of our two locations the plants are standing at all move that number.
Do you plant them for me?
No. Delivery is a doorstep drop-off: our crew sets your plants down and heads out. We don’t plant them or haul away old material. If you’re in our delivery area and want us to plant for you, please inquire about our installation services.
