Paddle Plant Kalanchoe provides a unique touch to your succulent bed, container garden or patio planter. Flat rounded foliage stacks upon itself in an attractive 2’ tall by 3’ wide mound that resembles a pile of clams on the ocean floor. During spring and summer, the leaves are blue-green with red tips. As the days cool and the sun wanes into winter, the foliage turns deep red. While the flowers are insignificant, 3’ tall flower spikes rise above the foliage to add a splash of drama to the garden.
How big does the Paddle Plant grow?
It usually grows about 12 to 18 inches tall and wide, with large, flat, round leaves stacked like a rosette. In bloom, it can send up a tall flower stalk that reaches 2 to 3 feet.

Full sun to bright light indoors gives it the best red edges. It loves gritty, fast-draining soil — cactus or succulent mix is perfect.
