Agapanthus africanus, Blue Lily of the Nile, is an evergreen perennial with broad, arching strap-shaped green leaves that grow in large clumps. Lavender-blue flower clusters bloom atop tall erect stalks growing to a height of 30-36 inches. In colder areas this agapanthus makes a good container plant, but in milder winters it adds yearly color accent in outdoor beds.
