Rhaphiolepis indica 'Clara' is different from the other more common Rhaphiolepis with her profuse white flowers and smaller, tidy form. Red new growth matures to dark green glossy leathery leaves. The pure white flowers emerge from pink buds in spring followed by indigo blue berries. Attractive to birds and bees. Tolerant of drought and coastal conditions. The dense, evergreen, rounded growth habit make this Indian Hawthorn a handsome hedge, border, accent or foundation plant.
