Description

Liriope muscari 'Silvery Sunproof' is a popular and durable evergreen grass-like perennial with narrow, upright, variegated leaves of dark green with gold stripes that age to white. As the name suggests, Silvery Sunproof Lilyturf tolerates more sunlight than other Lilyturf but the leaf color may be less yellow. Will take full sun in coastal climates but requires part shade in hotter, interior climates. Violet-colored flowers bloom on lilac-colored stalks in summer. This lilyturf is easy to grow and reliable. Use this dazzling perennial to brighten any shady spot. Perfect plant for containers, a woodland garden, mass plantings, borders or edging.

Plant care

Grows best in soil with good drainage. Water regularly after planting until roots are established then reduce frequency. Remove old faded leaves at base for a tidy appearance. Clumps can be divided in early spring every 2 to 3 years.
