Radiation Lantana is a vibrant, flowering shrub with lightly fragrant blooms in shades of orange and red with a touch of yellow that appear throughout the summer and fall. This large, upright Lantana camara bush grows 4 to 6 ft. tall and wide, making it perfect for borders, low hedges, or as an accent shrub. Good in both coastal and inland climates, Lantana ‘Radiation’ is evergreen in frost-free areas but can also be grown as an annual in colder climates.
Lantana is valued for its heat resilience and drought tolerance and is prized for its profuse blooms. Butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds are attracted to the flower’s nectar, while the black berries, though toxic to other animals, are a winter food source for birds.
Radiation Bush Lantana thrives in soil with good drainage. Water regularly during the first few months to help develop a strong root system. Reduce frequency after the lantana has become established in the landscape. Remove old spent flowers periodically. Prune annually to maintain desired shape.
Winter Hardiness - Hardy to 20-25°F, and grows best in USDA zones 9-11. Lantana 'Radiation' can be grown as an annual in colder climates.
