    Description

Pink oleander is a popular evergreen flowering shrub in California, known for its profusion of pink flowers that bloom from late spring through fall.

Resilient and fast-growing (2-3 ft./year under optimal conditions), Nerium oleander tolerates drought, heat, wind, salt spray, and poor soil. Pink oleander can grow up to 20 ft. tall but is easily maintained at a lower height and desired shape. Easy-to-grow, low-maintenance, and adaptable, oleander can be used as a hedge, privacy screen, background shrub, border plant, or patio container.

    Plant Care

Oleander is one of the easiest shrubs to care for and requires minimal maintenance. Oleander prefers full sun and well-drained fertile soil, but is adaptable to many soil conditions.

Water regularly and deeply after planting until roots are established, then reduce frequency. Once established, you generally do not need to fertilize your oleander.

When growing Nerium in containers, plant with Gardner & Bloome Potting Soil.

Prune as needed to remove damaged or overgrown branches or to maintain the desired shape. When pruning oleander, proper precaution should be taken, since its milky white sap is known to cause skin irritation.
