    Description

    Grown for their showy whorls of deep orange fuzzy tubular flowers resembling fur, Lion's Tail is an upright, fast-growing, evergreen tropical shrub with aromatic, narrow, toothed leaves in pairs on hairy, square stems. Often treated as a perennial, the woody base produces branches of many erect herbaceous stems that respond well to pruning and will resprout new growth from hardened wood.
