Ophiopogon japonicus 'Nana' is a dwarf form of regular mondo grass and half the size. Clumping, dark green, grass-like leaves make a beautiful ground cover or low border. The dense, linear foliage spreads slowly by tuber roots and stolons. Inconspicuous summer-blooming tiny spikes of pale lilac flowers are usually hidden among the foliage.
How tall and wide does Dwarf Mondo Grass grow?
It grows 2–4 inches tall and spreads slowly by underground runners to form a dense, tufted mat. Its tidy growth habit makes it ideal for small spaces or edging.
