Ceanothus thyrsiflorus 'Snow Flurry' is a fast-growing, large California native shrub with dense, glossy green leaves and profuse, fluffy clusters of white flowers that bloom in spring. Snow Flurry California Lilac is an adaptable and dependable shrub for coastal gardens where it is drought tolerant and happy in full sun, but for hot inland gardens it is best to provide afternoon shade and supplemental irrigation. Tolerates heavier soils. Grows as large as 8-10 ft. tall by 8-12 ft. wide and can be pruned into a small tree, a tall screen. Prune to control size and shape.
Requires soil with good drainage. After planting, water regularly until roots are established then reduce frequency to occasional irrigation. Does not tolerate soggy soil. Prune lightly in late summer to maintain size and shape.
