Description

Ceanothus thyrsiflorus 'Skylark' is a medium-sized, rounded evergreen shrub with a dense and compact habit and leathery deep emerald green foliage. Blue flowers in loose clusters bloom in late spring to summer, later than most Ceanothus. Tolerates clay soil and most garden conditions. This slow-growing California lilac is easy to maintain and can be grown to create a 3 ft. border or use as an accent plant.

Plant Care

Requires soil with good drainage. After planting, water regularly until roots are established then reduce frequency to occasional irrigation. Does not tolerate soggy soil. Prune lightly in late summer to maintain size and shape.
