Purple Yarrow

Achillea New Vintage Violet grows in most soil types but good drainage is essential to the survival of your yarrow. Add compost or lightly fertilize in the fall if desired.

Plant in full sun and water regularly for the first month or so to establish a good root system. Reduce water once established, then water deeply and infrequently, as needed.

Space plants 12-14” apart in the landscape for best appearance. Remove spent flowers to promote more flowering for a late-season rebloom.

With yarrow, too much of a good thing will make the plants floppy. Avoid over-watering, over-fertilization, or planting into rich soil.
