Phenomenal Lavender

Lavandula x intermedia 'Phenomenal' is an exceptional Lavandin cultivar, prized for its fragrance, compact, rounded habit, winter hardiness, disease resistance, and tolerance to drought, extreme heat, and humidity. A prolific bloomer and easy to grow, 'Phenomenal' is a versatile lavender with aromatic foliage and flowers that serve many purposes. A French hybrid lavender patented under the name Lavandula ‘Niko’, ‘Phenomenal’ is a mutation of Lavandula ‘Grosso’ and boasts a more compact form. Praised for its consistent growth with uniform, mounding habit and silvery foliage, ‘Phenomenal’ does not dieback in the center of the plant unlike some other lavenders. Its fragrant, long-lasting, 5-inch flower spikes of lavender-blue bloom from late spring through late summer on 12-inch long stems.
