Description

Echeveria agavoides 'Lipstick' is a striking succulent that resembles a small Agave with glossy, thick, rigid, pointy apple-green leaves edged with red. Also known as a Red Edged Molded Wax Echeveria, the amount of sunlight can affect the intensity of the lipstick-red hue. Protect from intense afternoon sun in hot climates. Looks great in containers, rock gardens, or mixed succulent plantings.

Plant care

Grows best in nutrient-poor, sandy or rocky soil with good drainage. Use a cactus potting soil for container plantings. Water deeply after planting then reduce frequency allowing the soil to dry in between waterings. Protect from intense afternoon sun in hotter inland areas. Low light levels will alter the rosette shape and result in stretched stems and elongated leaves. Remove old flower stalks at base.
