Camellia japonica 'Kramer's Supreme' is a compact, upright bushy shrub with large, full peony shaped red flowers. Blooms winter into spring. Slowly reaches 6 feet tall but can get larger with age. Prune to maintain desired size. Protect from strong hot sunlight and drying winds. Established older plants can grow well on low supplemental water. Great for accent plant, privacy screen, border, or planted in groups.

Plant care

Plant in acidic, loamy, well-draining soil in sheltered areas. Water regularly during the first year to aid the plant in establishing a strong root system, frequency can be cut back once established. Mulch will help keep the roots cool. Feed with acid fertilizer when it is done flowering for the season.
