Plant your Hemerocallis 'Bitsy' in well-drained soil in a sunny location that receives at least 6 hours of full sun. Grows best in organically rich loam but adapts to most soil types if they drain well.
After planting your daylily, water the soil regularly for a few weeks until the roots have become established, then reduce frequency. Drought tolerant, but flowers best with regular water.
‘Bitsy’ tolerates extreme heat and cold and has good rust resistance.
Prune spent blooms to encourage more blooms. Remove old or damaged foliage for tidier appearance.
Plant daylilies in mass with one color for best natural effect. Or mass plant a low type in front of a taller daylily for visual impact. Daylilies vary in flower height, flower size, and foliage and should not be mixed like one might do with pansies.
