Description

Flax lilies are clumping evergreen perennials with grassy, strap-like foliage that vary in color, width, and height. Native to Australia and New Zealand, Dianella are low maintenance, mostly drought tolerant, and generally need some degree of shade. Full sun in foggy coastal areas. Baby Bliss Flax Lily is a compact and dense selection with powdery grey-green foliage. Small light violet flowers arise in late spring to early summer over the foliage. Ideal in a mass plantings, along a border, or in a container.

Plant care

Requires soil with good drainage. Water regularly after planting until roots are established then reduce frequency as needed. Prune old flower stalks and leaves for tidy appearance.
