What is Plants Express?

Plants Express is Northern & Southern California's premier provider of plants, trees and shrubs, as well as many other gardening products to help consumers create and build their own beautiful landscaped gardens. We sell more than 2,000 varieties of plants, trees and related products. We deliver direct to your Northern or Southern California home or job site. You can learn about cool new plants and landscape ideas, put together your plant lists and order everything online.

Are you a new company?

No. Plants Express is a plant delivery service that was started in 2009 and has sold and shipped millions of plants to thousands of happy California homeowners.

How long will it take to receive my order and where are items placed upon delivery?

In many cases, we can deliver to your home within 2-3 days of order receipt. 80% of orders are filled within 5 business days. Upon arrival, all items are delivered to the curbside or mouth of the driveway. Our team is not responsible for moving material any further than those points.

How does your pricing compare with other garden centers?

Plants Express does not have expensive retail locations that have to be paid for, so we pass those savings on to you!

Can I expect premium quality from Plants Express?

Absolutely! We source our plants from only the best growers throughout the West Coast. We do not grow plants, rather we cherry pick the best plants from the best growers. Plus, our team of plany specialists performs a quality check on every order.

What geographies do you currently service?

We serve all of Northern & Southern California. Delivery charges may vary depending on delivery location. Twice a month, we deliver to cities within the regions of Riverside County (and east), north of Santa Clarita and north of Santa Rosa. If you are in one of these areas, a member of our team will reach out to coordinate a final delivery date. We do our best to accommodate the scenario above, but each delivery will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. Can I cancel my order?

Immediately after checkout, we begin to fulfill and schedule your home delivery. At that time your card is pre-authorized for payment. We begin to locate, pick, and pack your order within an hour of order placement. As such, any item changes, order adjustments or cancellations must be done within 24 hours of the order being placed. After 24 hours, a 30% restocking fee (based on order value) will be applied on all order cancellations. Once your order is out for delivery, no changes can be made and the order cannot be canceled. Is my Credit Card information secure?

Absolutely! We use a well-known and reliable credit card service to process your purchase. They employ industry recognized security safeguards to help protect the personally identifiable information you provide us from loss, misuse, or unauthorized alteration. Plants Express does not store your card information.

What if I need an item that is not listed on your website?

If an item is not listed on our website, you may identify your needs in the Special Instructions section of your order (or call us directly at 888-444-1126). The Special Instructions section provides space so that you can provide as much detail about the item as is necessary. We currently have sources for over 10,000 varieties, so we are very likely to be able to help you with an item not listed in the catalog. Our representative will contact you about your special item needs.

What are your shipping/delivery charges?

For many orders over $449 we are happy to deliver to your home or job-site free of charge. For orders below $449, we charge a single $85 delivery charge. In some instances—for remote locations—additional delivery fees may apply. Please call for additional details and questions you may have regarding delivery fees to your home.

What is your return policy?

Within the first five days of delivery, if you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact customer service at 888-444-1126. If a return is authorized, a restocking fee may apply depending on communication with our customer service team. They will assess your pickup location, item(s) condition (via photo) and best outcome for all parties. Because plants are perishable, once an item(s) is removed from the container, and or planted, no returns will be allowed.

How do I register?

Registration is easy! Simply click on the 'Register' link in the upper right corner of any webpage, fill out the requested information and click 'Submit.' You will receive a confirmation email. Please note Plants Express has both a Southern California and a Northern California edition to its website and catalog. Your city location will determine your default catalog.

I forgot my password, how can I get on the website?
