Nectarine 'Snow Queen' is a self-fertile, white fleshed Nectarine with low-chill requirements. This sweet and juicy fruit is freestone for easy eating and slicing with fruit ripening in June and July. Snow Queen Nectarine has a low chill hour requirement of only 250-300 hours, making it ideal for the warmer climates of the West Coast. In the spring, it has soft pink flowers with deep green foliage in summer.
Prefers to be planted in full sun in well-draining soil. Water regularly during the first year to aid the plant in establishing a strong root system, frequency should be cut back once established. Fertilize before the flowers emerge and remove dead wood and prune to maintain the desired size. In Spring, thin out the crop to prevent early fruit drop and overbearing.
