Description

Originally from the Canary Islands, Limonium perezii is an evergreen perennial with large green leathery basal leaves. The long lasting purple flower clusters are held on leafless stems and feel like crepe paper. Sea Lavender blooms nearly year-round in frost free coastal climates. The papery flowers are good in fresh or dried flower arrangements. Excellent plant for coastal or Mediterranean gardens, cut flower gardens, rock gardens, or in containers. Low maintenance, and drought resistant.

Plant care

Provide well-drained soil. Follow a regular watering schedule during the first growing season to establish a deep, extensive root system. For a neat appearance, remove old foliage before new leaves emerge. Divide clumps every 2 to 3 years in early spring.
