Also known as Tahitian or Persian Lime, the Persian 'Bearss' Lime Bush is the most common lime for homeowners. The lime is a juicy, acidic, seedless fruit and has a true lime flavor. The thin, smooth rind turns pale yellow when fruit is ripened on the tree. The hardy, vigorous lime plant has compact, dark green foliage. Self-fertile. Harvest fruit in Fall. Protect from cold temperatures below 30F.

Plant Care

Citrus needs full sun, moist soil, and aerated soil. Fast drainage is essential. Water regularly and consistently the first year for deep roots. Reduce frequency after plant is established but water deeply. In spring, feed with a balanced fertilizer in spring and prune erratic growth or shape as desired.
