Description

Salvia 'Mystic Spires' is an attractive herbaceous perennial featuring spires of indigo blue flowers spring through fall on a compact bush up to two feet tall and as wide. More compact than the original Indigo Spires, Mystic Spires is excellent when used in front of taller shrubs. As with other sages, some maintenance may be needed to keep its form compact, and to keep the plant at its best.

Plant care

Plant in loamy and moist soil with good drainage. Water regularly during the first year to aid the plant in establishing a strong root system, frequency can be reduced once established. Remove old blooms to promote more flowering. Hard prune and fertilize in late winter/early spring. .
