Muskogee Crape Myrtle Multi-Trunk should be planted in a location that receives full, direct sunlight in well-drained soil to ensure that the tree has the necessary conditions to thrive. ‘Muskogee’ is very tolerant of both dry and wet heat and is a fantastic choice for your California landscape.

Watering is an important part of caring for the Muskogee Crape Myrtle Multi-Trunk. Water generously after planting for the first few weeks to help establish the roots in the ground. Once established, reduce frequency and water deeply when soil is dry. Drought tolerant but looks best with supplemental water during extended dry spells.

Fertilize once a year, preferably in the spring with a balanced fertilizer, such as our Gardner & Bloome 4-4-4 Organic All Purpose Fertilizer. Follow instructions on the package and avoid over fertilizing as this can burn roots and harm your Crape Myrtle.

Prune your Multi-Trunk Crape Myrtle to shape, thin out, rejuvenate, and manage its size. Prune in late winter or early spring by removing crossed, damaged, or erratic branches. Prune any unwanted sucker branches at the base of the trunk. Use clean, sharp pruning shears to prevent damage to the Crape Myrtle.
