Description

Cotoneaster dammeri 'Coral Beauty' is a fast-growing, prostrate, evergreen shrub with glossy green leaves densely covering the trailing stems that root as they touch the ground. Spring brings a profusion of white flowers followed by an abundance of ornamental bright orange-red berries in late summer that may persist through winter. Foliage may develop bronzy-purple tones in cooler temperatures. Coral Beauty Bearberry is attractive as a ground cover or cascading over walls. Useful on slopes for erosion control. Similar in appearance to ‘Lowfast’ but ‘Coral Beauty’ berries are not as red.

Plant care

Prefers moist soil with good drainage. Water regularly after planting until roots are established then reduce frequency as needed. Prune annually to maintain desired shape. Fertilize in early spring to promote growth.
