Groundcover roses spread quickly to cover large areas. Ideal for slopes, rocky areas, or anywhere you want low-growing color with easy maintenance. 'Flower Carpet Amber' is a low-maintenance, spreading ground cover with a profusion of fragrant, soft orange-yellow, semi-double blooms that fade to a soft pink as they age. A long bloom season with repeat flowering from spring through fall. Disease resistant. Deciduous. Beautiful in containers or in mass plantings. Flower carpet roses will typically grow into a low, dense and compact bush, growing up to a slightly flattened 3 ft. shrub once established. However, each one is different and growing conditions will also affect the plant's mature size.
Prefers loamy and moist soil with good drainage. Water regularly during the first year to aid the plant in establishing a strong root system, frequency can be cut back once established. Plants 3 feet apart if using them as a groundcover. Fertilize in the spring and in later fall/early winter, you can prune them down to about 6 inches off the ground.
