Description

Phormium 'Amazing Red' is a small variety of flax growing only 2-3 feet tall with upright narrow dark reddish-brown leaves. Makes a great container plant and provides excellent contrast to other plant forms and colors. Can tolerate fairly dry conditions but appears more lush with regular watering. Plant in full sun or light shade.

Plant Care

Can do well in most soils with good drainage. Water regularly during the first year to aid the plant in establishing a strong root system, frequency can be cut back once established. May go dormant at 15 degrees Fahrenheit, it's best to bring indoors for temperatures colder than that.
