Can I add items to my order after placing it?
Please let us know promptly if you’d like to add items, and we can often accommodate changes. In some cases additional items might have to come on a separate delivery.
Can I pick up my order instead of having it delivered?
Our nurseries are not open to the public, and we normally don't offer pickup options. However, if delivery is not available in your area please call us 888-444-1126
How do I check my order status?
If you haven't received an update on your order, please contact us via email or call 888-444-1126 (Press #1) and an associate will be happy to assist you.

Where do you deliver?
Not sure if we deliver to your location? Enter your zip code in the delivery box on the top menu bar and find out if we deliver to your area.
What is the cost for delivery?
FREE DELIVERY on orders over $399! Trees and shrubs are often large and bulky, and are expensive to deliver properly.
For orders under $399, we have a flat-rate delivery fee of $60.
If you are in California but out of our delivery area, please call 888-444-1126 or email sales@plantsexpress.com us about our special delivery options.
How soon will my order arrive?
Your plants are typically delivered within 5 business days of ordering. If you prefer to schedule a specific delivery date please contact us 888-444-1126 or email sales@plantsexpress.com
How will you deliver my plants?
Unlike many online plant retailers, we personally deliver on our own fleet of vans and trucks.
This means:
- Your plants are never handled by shipping companies, inexperienced in handling live goods. Our delivery specialists are experts in handling and transporting trees and shrubs.
- We maintain complete quality control throughout the entire process
- Your plants arrive with minimal stress from transportation
Are there special considerations for large trees (25 gallon or 24" box)?
Large trees in 24" boxes and 25-gallon containers are quite heavy (over 150 lbs) and require special handling:
- They arrive in an enclosed box truck with a liftgate
- Trees will be offloaded as close to the delivery truck as safely possible (typically in your driveway)
- Please be prepared with a dolly and additional help to move these trees to their final planting locations
Can you help me select plants for my garden?

Do you sell citrus trees?
Yes, though California regulations restrict delivery to certain areas. Contact us for availability.
Can I request plants not listed on your website?
Yes! Contact us about sourcing specific plants not found on our site.

Why isn't my coupon code working at checkout?
If you're experiencing difficulties with a coupon code, there could be several reasons:
- Expiration: Some codes have specific time limits
- Usage limits: Certain promotions can only be used once per customer
- Minimum purchase: Some discounts require meeting a minimum order value.

My plants arrived damaged. What should I do?
If you notice damage upon delivery:
- Alert our delivery driver immediately when possible
- Contact us within 24 hours of delivery if you notice damage after the driver leaves
- Send clear photos of the damage to help us assess the situation
Important note: Minor imperfections such as a few missing leaves are part of a plant's natural life cycle and are not considered damage. All items must remain in their original containers and in the same condition as received for our team to properly evaluate any concerns.

What is your plant guarantee?
We want your garden to thrive! Every tree and plant leaving our nursery is guaranteed to be of the highest quality and ready to flourish. If you notice any issues with your delivery:
- Notify us within 24 hours via phone, email, or chat
- Plants and trees are perishable and cannot be returned without authorization
- Items removed from original containers or already planted are not eligible for returns
- Please note that missing leaves or minor naturally occurring changes are not considered damage
