Description

Citrus sinensis 'Valencia' is the best orange juice variety. Excellent quality, medium-large, sweet fruit has a high juice content. The nearly seedless fruit holds well on the plant. The vigorous, attractive plant performs well in all citrus climates. Self-fertile. Needs heat to sweeten fruit. Harvest in Summer. Protect from cold temperatures below 28F.

Plant Care

Citrus needs full sun, moist soil, and aerated soil. Fast drainage is essential. Water regularly and consistently the first year for deep roots. Reduce frequency after plant is established but water deeply. In spring, feed with a balanced fertilizer in spring and prune erratic growth or shape as desired.
