Description

California Fescue is a clumping California native grass that performs well in most conditions throughout the state. The blue-green foliage grows to about 2 feet tall and wide in a graceful, fountain-like mound with airy flower stocks that can grow another 2 feet above the foliage. Drought tolerant but can benefit from occasional summer watering. Festuca californica can tolerate some shade and grows well under our native oaks. Use in mass plantings or in mixed borders. Great for slopes. Evergreen in the cooler coastal climates.
