Q: Can I grow plants directly in G&B Organics Planting Mix?
A: G&B Organics Planting Mix was designed by Kellogg as a soil amending product to be mixed with the native soil found in gardens. It is not intended for use as a stand-alone product to grow plants.
Q: Is G&B Organics Planting Mix a sterilized mix?
A: Kellogg does not sterilize any of their soil products as this would kill all of the beneficial nutrients and microbes. It is however, composted in large piles that reaches temperatures over 130℉ during the natural decomposing process. This temperature is hot enough to kill any type of pests and weed seeds.
